Brie’s Story

Brielle Adrianna Cruel was born March 1, 2000 and went to be with the Lord on July 18, 2023. She was a daughter, sister, friend, and light to everyone who knew her. This is her story — told with love, remembered with joy, and carried in our hearts forever.

The small town of Albany, Georgia, filled with sound and laughter, dreams were being lived by a vibrant young woman named Brielle Adrianna Cruel.

Just 23 years old, she had already achieved so much. She was a proud graduate of Dougherty Comprehensive High School and Clayton State University, where she earned her bachelor's degree in marketing.

Brielle had just started a new career at The Levee Studios/DU Process Consultant and even purchased her dream car, a Kia Soul. Known for her quiet yet fiercely independent spirit, she had a love for creating unique designs, all while venturing toward the dream of starting her own business.

But in the spring of 2022, Brielle began to feel unwell. After a series of doctor visits and tests, she was tragically misdiagnosed. The summer brought devastating news. Brielle was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia or ALL at the young age of 22.

The announcement felt like a thunderclap, shaking the foundation of our family's world. Despite the fear that washed over us, Brielle faced her diagnosis head on, determined to fight with her warrior's heart blazing fiercely.

Over the next year, she endured rounds of treatment with unwavering strength, holding on to hope through hospital stays, setbacks, and small victories. Through it all, her light never dimmed. She remained thoughtful, creative, and deeply caring about the people she loved.

The leukemia came back. Brielle faced this new battle with the same tenacity she has always shown, but the toll of her journey began to weigh heavily on her.

Still, she found joy in small moments. Phone calls and visits from her family. The feel of the sun warming her face. As July approached, those who loved Brielle found themselves holding their breath, cherishing each day with her aware that precious time with Brie was slipping away.

She became a beacon of strength, imparting lessons of love, resilience, and hope to her family and friends. Brielle often shared her dreams of fully realizing her business and living life to its fullest vision that inspired her loved ones long after she was gone.

Finally on a somber July morning in 2023, Brielle's battle came to an end. Surrounded by her beloved family, she slipped quietly into peace, leaving behind a legacy rich in determination, warmth, and unwavering love. Brielle's spirit continues to live on in the hearts of her family and friends, testament to a vibrant soul who fought fiercely and loved deeply. Her laughter echoes in their memories, a lasting tribute celebrating her indomitable spirit and encouraging them to cherish every moment, approach life with courage and hold fast to the passions that define them.
